The Beyond Budgeting Round Table (BBRT) is a network of member organizations with a common interest in improving planning, forecasting and control, thereby improving overall performance. The BBRT helps organizations learn from world-wide best practice studies and encourages them to share information, past successes and implementation experiences to develop dramatically improved solutions to traditional budgeting constraints.
The purpose of the BBRT is to help organizations improve bottom-line performance by introducing simple adaptive control principles and continuous planning techniques. By using rolling forecasts and relative targets, organizations are able to focus on strategy and value drivers and even decentralize performance, rather than debating annual, fixed budget targets.

The PMA 2012 Conference will return to Cambridge, UK, on 11-13 July 2012 at Fitzwilliam College, University of Cambridge. PMA 2012 will build on the successes of previous international conferences, the most recent of which was hosted at the University of Otago, New Zealand in 2009.
The theme for PMA2012 is Performance Management: From Strategy to Delivery. Exploring the latest thinking and research into how to connect strategy to delivery, through technology, systems and process, the conference will be mixture of keynote and plenary presentations, as well as parallel streams and discussion groups. Delegates and presenters are expected from a range of academic disciplines, as well as the business and public sector communities.
The aim of the PMA conference is to bring together those who want to explore and better understand the role that performance measurement and management plays in improving organisational performance. No other conference better facilitates dialogue in the field of performance measurement, providing such a rare opportunity for academics and practitioners to meet and exchange ideas. The highly successful PMA series of conferences has been running since 1998. Two world-class keynotes have already been booked; Howard Dresner, a widely regarded expert in business intelligence and Professor Gerhard Satzger, IBM’s Director Business Performance Services, Europe.
